I can’t say enough about the amazing work done by the wonderful people at Okanogan Angels. Their commitment to saving lives via rescuing, transporting, fostering, and adopting is incredible and much needed in the Valley. They hold adoption events in different towns on a regular basis. They also have a low income spay and neuter voucher system, meeting another urgent need.

We found our sweet Korra through one of their adoption events. Korra was picked up as a stray. She had a badly injured hind leg and the vet determined that amputation was the best option for her comfort and well-being. Okanogan Angels paid for the surgery as well as her spay. They then fostered her through recovery and it is obvious from her demeanor that she was well loved and cared for. I met Korra at the 2023 Okanogan Days adoption event (she was even in the parade!) I was not able to take her home at the time due to personal issues but I filled out an online application the following week. I was contacted by Okanogan Angels almost immediately and it was a simple process to make the online payment. They even arranged for transport to the NOAH Center (one of their awesome partners) to save me travel time (I live on the west side.)

Korra has been such a blessing to our family. She is besties with my son and she immediately fit in with our pack, Pepper (3) and Bela (9). She’s a happy girl.

Since adopting, Jennifer and Christeena have been wonderful about answering my questions and following Korra’s progress.
